  • Love the Bad Shirt Club 🫶🏼😎

The shirt was outrageous, loud and certainly caused a lot of comments, but one thing it was not is bad. It is actually well made, fits great, is comfortable, and I think it's a good value.

Bad Shirt Club FAQs

Three men stand on a racetrack; two wear orange and black racing team jackets, one holding a microphone to the other’s face, while a third man in a flowered shirt holds a microphone. The scene is casual and outdoors.

Yes! Bad Shirt Club proudly made its debut on Sky Sports F1 thanks to none other than legendary commentator David Croft, known affectionately to motorsport fans as “Crofty.”

Crofty, a long-time champion of big personalities and bold statements, has become a genuine fan of our shirts. He regularly rocks them trackside while interviewing some of the biggest names in Formula One. You may have spotted him during a special penalty shootout segment with F1 drivers including Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, George Russell, Charles Leclerc, and Carlos Sainz, all while repping the England Bad Shirt.

As the lead commentator for Sky Sports' F1 coverage since 2012, David Croft has worn many hats, now he's added outrageously bad shirts to the list. His passion for motorsport and mental health awareness aligns perfectly with our mission, and we couldn’t be prouder to see our gear on-screen with the world’s fastest (and best-dressed) athletes.

Catch us trackside and on screen, spreading smiles, sparking conversations, and proving once and for all that even Formula One can’t resist a bad shirt.

Yes, we do! In fact, Sh*t Shirt Club is how this whole movement originally began.

We launched under the name Sh*t Shirt Club because it perfectly captured the spirit of our brand: bold, ridiculous, unapologetically loud shirts designed to turn heads, start conversations, and raise awareness for mental health. The name got laughs, sparked curiosity, and helped us build an amazing community of like-minded dopamine dressers.

But as the club grew, we hit a snag, turns out, advertising platforms don’t share our sense of humour. Social media and search engines tend to block or restrict any brand using profanity, which made it incredibly hard for us to get the word out, grow our audience, and ultimately raise money for mental health charities.

So we adapted.

Bad Shirt Club was born as a way to keep our message loud and clear, without being flagged for bad language. It’s the exact same mission, designs, quality, and team, just with a more ad-friendly name that allows us to reach even more people across the world (and get approved for those all-important ad campaigns).

In short:

  • Sh*t Shirt Club is our original name and still very much a part of who we are.
  • Bad Shirt Club is our rebrand, same mission, just more scalable.
  • You’ll sometimes see both names used depending on the platform or audience, but don’t worry, they both lead to the same wild shirts, same mental health mission, and same commitment to making a difference.

Whether you found us through Bad or Sh*t, you're now part of the same beautifully chaotic club. Welcome.

Bad Shirt Club isn’t just a clothing brand, it’s a movement stitched together with purpose, personality, and unapologetically bold patterns. Born from grief and built on love, we exist to raise awareness for mental health in the loudest, most uplifting way possible. Every shirt we sell supports real mental health initiatives, helping to fund vital services and spark conversations that could save lives.

We were founded in memory of Aine, a vibrant, caring soul who lost her life to mental illness. Our founder, John, channelled his heartbreak into a mission: to make sure fewer people suffer in silence. Inspired by how his loud shirts once built confidence and broke social barriers while travelling, Bad Shirt Club was born – a colourful rebellion against the stigma that keeps people quiet.

Our “bad” shirts are intentionally outrageous, not just to turn heads or win worst-dressed contests (although they do that too) – but to open dialogue, challenge norms, and connect people in unexpected ways. They’re conversation starters, confidence boosters, and walking reminders that it’s okay to stand out, speak up, and support each other.

So whether you’re buying a shirt for a festival, a night out, or just because you love being that person in the room, you’re also joining a cause that truly matters.

Wear bold. Speak loud. Save lives.

That’s the Bad Shirt Club way.

When we say our shirts are bad, we mean it in the best possible way.

At Bad Shirt Club, “bad” is our badge of honour, a celebration of everything loud, bold, ridiculous, and unapologetically out-there. These aren’t your average shirts. They’re the ones that stop people mid-sentence, spark laughs from strangers, and demand a double-take from across the street. With clashing colours, wild prints, and a joyful disregard for fashion norms, each piece is designed to be a wearable icebreaker.

But the “badness” goes deeper than just the design. Our shirts are deliberately attention-grabbing, because attention is the first step to conversation. And conversation is how we change the way people think about mental health. Behind every chaotic pineapple print, banana-blazing flamingo, or psychedelic splatter lies a serious mission: raising awareness, breaking stigma, and supporting real mental health causes.

“Bad” isn’t about being low quality (our shirts are top-tier: comfy, lightweight, and built to last). It’s about breaking the rules in the name of something better. It’s about giving people the confidence to stand out, speak up, and be part of a bigger message.

So what makes our shirts bad?

  • They’re so bad… they’re brave.
  • They’re so bad… they’re brilliant.
  • They’re so bad… they just might start a life-saving conversation.

Welcome to the Bad side.

At Bad Shirt Club, mental health isn’t a side mission, it’s the reason we exist.

Our support for mental health is woven into everything we do, from the prints on our shirts to the pounds we donate. Every “bad” shirt we sell is a conversation starter with a cause, helping raise awareness, break stigma, and fund life-changing support for people battling mental health challenges.

Here’s how we put our purpose into action:

1. We raise awareness with every shirt.

Our designs are intentionally bold, weird, and wildly eye-catching, because they spark real conversations. When you wear a Bad Shirt Club shirt, you’re not just wearing something fun, you’re wearing a talking point. A conversation-starter. A subtle but powerful reminder that it's okay to open up, speak out, and be heard.

2. We fund mental health services.

A large portion of our profits goes directly to mental health charities, including organisations like Suffolk Mind. These donations help keep vital services running, from helplines and counselling to suicide prevention and educational resources. As of 2024, we've donated thousands to support this essential work.

3. We honour real people and real stories.

Bad Shirt Club was founded in memory of Aine, our founder’s best friend, who tragically lost her life to suicide. Her story is at the heart of our mission, and a powerful reminder of how invisible mental health struggles can be. Everything we do honours her legacy and aims to ensure fewer people suffer in silence.

4. We build confidence and community.

Mental health isn’t just about crisis, it’s also about confidence, connection, and joy. Our shirts help people feel bold, free, and seen. Whether you’re rocking one at a festival, pub night, or just for the hell of it, they help create shared moments, spark friendships, and remind wearers it’s okay to stand out.

5. We amplify the message.

From TikTok to real-life events, we use our platform to shine a light on mental health issues. We collaborate with creators, encourage community participation through our “Share While You Wear” campaign, and keep the conversation going in creative, engaging, and human ways.

In short:

Every shirt is a small act of rebellion, against silence, stigma, and shame. And with every order, you’re not just buying a shirt… you’re backing a movement.

Let’s get loud for something that matters.

At Bad Shirt Club, we know that confidence starts with a great fit, and that applies whether you're rocking a ridiculously loud shirt, a bold blazer, or a full-on festival co-ord. That’s why we’ve made it easy to find your perfect size.

Each product on our site includes a dedicated size guide, located right next to the size dropdown on the product page. Just click “Size Guide” and you’ll see exact measurements for chest, length, and sleeve (if applicable), as well as helpful tips on how to measure yourself for the best possible fit.

Our shirts and co-ords are designed to have a relaxed, comfortable fit, ideal for dancing, lounging, or parading through life like you own the place. Blazers have a slightly more structured fit but still prioritise freedom and movement, so you never feel boxed in. And our bucket hats? One-size-fits-most, because everyone deserves a statement piece for their head.

A few extra notes:

  • If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a looser, more carefree look, especially for our blazers.
  • Our size range is inclusive, with options from S to 5XL depending on the product. We believe that everyone deserves to wear something bold and feel good doing it.
  • Still unsure? Drop us a message — we’re always happy to help guide you.

So before you click “Add to Cart,” take a sec to check that size guide. Because when you feel good in your fit, you wear your weird with pride.

Absolutely, and they're as bold as our shirts (minus the questionable flamingo print). If you're shopping for someone who loves to stand out but you're not sure which gloriously bad pattern screams their name, The Bad Shirt Club Gift Card is your one-way ticket to gifting greatness.

Our digital gift cards are perfect for birthdays, holidays, secret Santa surprises, or even last-minute "oh no, I forgot!" moments. Whether your mate is a dopamine dresser, a bucket hat hoarder, or just someone in desperate need of a wardrobe intervention, a gift card lets them choose their own flavour of fashion chaos.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Available in multiple amounts – choose how generous you’re feeling.
  • Delivered instantly via email – no waiting, no wrapping, just winning.
  • Redeemable across our entire site – shirts, blazers, bucket hats, accessories – they can go wild.
  • No expiry date – because bad taste never goes out of style.
  • Supports our mental health mission – every gift card helps us raise awareness and funds.

So if you’re stuck on sizing or can’t decide between a bad blazer and an even worse shirt, let them do the picking. With a Bad Shirt Club Gift Card, you’re giving more than a present – you’re giving permission to be loud, proud, and wonderfully weird.
